Two of us, and a room that was a chemist's.
Ottoline opened in 2018 in what had been Wickham Street's chemist for sixty years. The shelves are still there; they hold the wine. Nell cooks, Sam runs the room, and on a Saturday night there are four of us.
The menu is short so that everything on it is made that day. It changes on Wednesdays because that is when the vegetables come.

Started because the neighbours asked. Now the busiest sitting of the week.

Herbs, a fig tree that has not yet fruited, and four tables in July.

We were offered the shop next door and said no. The room is the right size.
